Bogusława Bobak arrived in Italy in 2001 , alone , looking for a job and a better life for her and her family , leaving three children in Poland . Four years later , following the divorce and vain attempts to find work at home , she decided to bring the children along with her in Rome: Staszek , Beata and Sylwester. The Bobak family was together again, living in a small shared apartment, in the center of Rome. Trying to fit in a foreign country and a foreign culture, all together. Bogusława has always considered fundamental education of their children , so she decided to ask them to attend the Polish School in Rome . Cultivate knowledge of their native language and traditions was a very important aspect of their life , although it was not always easy in the Italian reality . In the Bobak home in Rome you felt to be in Poland between smells, dishes and hospitality.

Dorata Koziara, artist and designer is portrayed inside her studio in Milan, in front of one of her creations. “I fell in love with Italy during my first tourist trip” says Dorota, “When I was still a student at the University of Arts in Poznan, Poland. I thought it would be nice to live for a year in this country.” Completed her degree course, she won three scholarships for the best graduates in the arts and the opportunity to spend a year studying abroad. Dorota chose Italy and Rome, “Where I spent a wonderful period of my life. Roma has remained in my heart and it is still for me the most beautiful city in the world”. This was the year 1995. The following year marked a very important point in her career, when she met the great master of design Alessandro Mendini and started to collaborate with him. “I thought I would have stayed in Italy for another year , but then ... I am still here!”. For many years now next to the realization of her personal projects Dorota decided to focus on what she considers her core mission from the beginning : the promotion of Polish design in Italy.
